Welcome
Welcome to Conceive With Awareness
Who prepares the parents?
When a child is expected, there is so much to prepare. We think about medical care, food, the home, clothes, the baby's needs, and eventually education and everything else that comes with bringing up a child.
All these preparations are important. They come from love and from our wish to give the child a good beginning in life. But there is another kind of preparation that we don't often speak about. Do we prepare ourselves?
We prepare the body. We prepare the home. We try to prepare the mind. But what about our consciousness?
This blog grew out of that question.
As we began to explore the writings of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, we found ourselves looking at conception and parenthood in a very different way. Their writings led us to see a child as much more than a body being born into a family. A child is a soul on a journey of its own, and the parents have the beautiful responsibility of preparing the atmosphere into which that new life is welcomed.
These reflections are an attempt to explore that vision.
We are not trying to give ready-made answers here. We are simply trying to pause, think about these questions, and look at the beginning of life in a deeper way
What does it mean to consciously prepare for a child?
What happens when we begin to look at conception not only as a physical event, but also as a moment connected with the deeper journey of the human being? And what does this ask of us as parents?
Whether you are preparing to welcome a child, already raising one, or simply interested in understanding life more deeply, I hope these reflections will give you something to think about.
There is no need to read them quickly. Some of these thoughts are better read slowly and then left alone for a while. Because some questions do not give us an answer immediately. They remain within us.
And sometimes, as our own consciousness grows, we begin to see the answer in a way we could not see before.
