Each conversation has been different, shaped by the occasion and the people who joined us. But the thought behind all of them remains the same...how can we help future parents look at the beginning of life with greater awareness, and also begin preparing themselves inwardly?

Every journey has a beginning.

Mine began with a simple question: Can the preparation for a child begin long before pregnancy?

Inspired by the writings of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo, and also by the wisdom of Sanatana Dharma, this webinar shares something of my own journey in discovering Conscious Conception.

It looks at conception not only as a biological event, but as the conscious welcoming of a soul, and at the same time the parents, too, can begin preparing themselves inwardly.

The Mother reminds us that preparing for a child begins first within the parents.

This webinar explores her vision of Conscious Conception and the importance she gives to the thoughts, emotions, aspirations and daily life of the parents. All these become part of the atmosphere in which a new life is welcomed.

It is also an invitation to look at parenthood in a deeper way - as a sacred responsibility and as an opportunity to consciously open ourselves to the Divine.

Every child carries within a unique possibility for the future.

Inspired by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, this webinar looks at how the future of humanity is also connected with the consciousness of the parents who bring new life into the world.

It asks us to look beyond the usual preparation for having a child and to consider another kind of preparation - the parents' own aspiration, inner growth and way of living.

The Soul’s Journey to Birth

“The soul takes birth each time, and each time a mind, life and body are formed out of the materials of universal Nature, according to the soul’s past evolution and its need for the future.” — Sri Aurobindo We usually think of birth as the beginning of a new life. The body has its beginning, and the outer personality will slowly develop. But Sri Aurobindo points to a soul that has already been on a journey. The soul comes into birth carrying what it has gathered through its experiences and its growth. "The state of consciousness in which the parents are at the moment of conception gives a sort of stamp to the child, which it will reflect throughout its life." -   The Mother There are some moments in life that make us look at things differently. One such moment came unexpectedly while attending a baby shower. The room was alive with joy. Family and friends had gathered to celebrate the arrival of a new life. Tiny clothes were folded with care. Soft toys lay waiting in a beautifully decorated cradle. There was laughter, affectionate teasing, and a steady stream of advice for the young couple.
